Uptown Offers Many Grant Opportunities for New and Existing Businesses
The Uptown Business Improvement District (BID) was created in 2007 for the purpose of encouraging and supporting development within the neighborhood. The BID District runs along the Washington Avenue corridor bounded loosely on the north by Tenth Street, Sixteenth Street on the south, Racine Street on the east and Valley Drive on the west.

The Uptown BID is tasked with marketing the district; maintaining seasonal plantings, banners and sidewalk cleaning; improving safety and security; and assisting with the attraction and retention of businesses within the district. Over the past few years, the Uptown Business Improvement District has implemented a number of grants that may be available to businesses located within the district, as well as new businesses looking for a place to establish themselves. Listed below is information about those grants and how you can apply.
